Italy Solutions is currently seeking a Civil Engineer Junior (fresh graduates), reporting directly to Engineering Infrastructure Head, to join our engineering team based in Rome, Italy.

About the Job

You will work within the Civil team responsible for managing proposals, Basic Engineering Design, and up to Detail Engineering Design.

Key interactions include internal collaboration with project teams, construction, and other engineering disciplines; externally with clients and suppliers.

The role and your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Design Calculation

• Detail design for static and dynamic equipment foundations, basins, foundations for steel and concrete structures, elevated concrete structures, sheet piling for earth retention, piles, hydraulic calculations for underground networks, modules, steel works of offshore platforms, verification of existing structures, and revamping/reinforcing existing structures.

Support Services for Procurement

• Technical Bid Evaluation
• Preparation of Material / Purchase requisitions
• Approval of vendor designs, drawings, and documents
• Support for procurement in subcontractor/consultant evaluation
• Interface with other discipline engineers and project support functions such as procurement and planning
• Participation in project contract review meetings
• Discipline contract reviews and document/drawings indexing
• Support for schedule preparation
• Assistance in preparing project technical specifications in coordination with other disciplines
• Support to the construction department for civil construction tender/offer preparation
• Participation in constructability reviews
• Quantity/material tracking
• Support subcontractors for architectural designs, survey works, soil investigations, and structural steel fabrication drawings
• Review of outsourced works and coordination with construction and engineering subcontractors/consultants as needed
