SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas and water on an international basis.

Position

We are currently looking for a Civil Construction Superintendent based on one of our construction projects in Iraq.

The Civil Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the following activities:

• Follow construction and installation phases.
• Provide interface between the work area assigned and the Site/Construction Manager.
• Lead related works in the assigned area to complete tasks within the given timeline.
• Manage Supervisors and Foremen in the assigned Workfront, evaluate resource quality and quantity.
• Implement project safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup phases.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support planning team to develop activity schedules and review construction phases with the Site/Construction manager.
• Assist in developing MOS where necessary.
• Endorse and promote the company's Health and Safety and Quality plans.
• Estimate tools and materials needed and inform the Site/Construction manager timely.
• Handle site mobilization for the assigned work front.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance, monitor national development where work takes place.
• Coordinate with QaQc personnel to align quality documentation with progress.
• Address QaQc and HSE issues as priority, taking necessary actions on site.
• Oversee contractor’s materials.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans.
• Monitor workforce productivity and progress relative to schedule.
• Monitor environmental compliance and report discrepancies.
• Follow up on the arrival of procured equipment.
• Provide oversight for pre-commissioning and mechanical completion.
• Supervise mechanical completion phase and transition to commissioning.
• Provide construction reports on progress, safety, issues, and plans.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in piping construction projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
