Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

We are looking for City Operations Coordinator for Milano.

The resource will be responsible for:

  • Support in developing an overarching Master Schedule for all the activities planned and ensure constant monitoring to promptly detect any delay or issues.
  • Ensure a highly successful City Integration function at all competition/non-competition venues, and participate in the exercise across all stakeholders to understand their journeys outside and inside the venues.
  • Liaise with the External Delivery Partners to make sure that their financial planning is accurate to cover all the financial needs to develop the services under their responsibility.
  • Escalate to senior management and Internal Governance structure (GSPLO; Exco; Directors’ Meetings) in case of issues and decisions.
  • Strictly cooperate with the Mico2026 FAs representative to approach Local entities to solve potential issues.
  • Realize through a team building work with venue FAs impacted the Venue Approach Operating Plan.
  • Strictly cooperate with Operational Readiness FA to integrate operational planning method/approach (including readiness and test events) with External Delivery partners.
Requirements:
  • Project Management experience in Major events.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the services/activities that should be delivered by External Partners.
  • Ability to plan, manage, drive, monitor and report different cluster working tables with internal FAs and local stakeholders representatives.
  • Good knowledge of Smartsheet and SharePoint tools.
  • Previous experience in relations with public/local authorities would be an asset to help perform the above duties.
  • Residence in the cluster area.
  • Positive attitude in negotiating with External Partners, through the creation of an environment that encourages cooperation.
