Job Description:

Our client is a primary Multinational Insurance Company, currently committed in the effort of becoming an Agile global organization and a Tech-Lead company.

We are looking for a CIO Italy with a background in Application Development / Architecting and DevSecOps, and previous experiences in managing geographically distributed teams in a multinational Agile organization, preferably in the Insurance or Banking sector.



Responsibilities

The CIO, reporting directly to the Regional CIO and in dotted line to the Italian GM, is responsible for defining and implementing the local IT strategy, coordinating with business functions to prioritize projects, ensuring application stability and security, and overseeing IT governance and risk management. The Local CTO will drive the company's business model transformation by co-creating and sponsoring key projects, ensuring their deployment across Italy within time, budget, quality, and scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the IT representative to the business, forming partnerships to meet business objectives.

• Steer the development, operation, and support of business processes.

• Transform business plans into specific programs for solution delivery.

• Execute the roadmap in line with enterprise agile delivery practices.

• Manage governance and risk for local or outsourced IT services.

• Collaborate with regional IT functions within a matrixed structure.

• Lead software engineering teams and oversee project portfolios.

• Ensure security compliance in application development and management.

• Plan and oversee the budget, selecting vendors for hardware, software, and services.

• Encourage cross-functional collaboration with other departments.

• Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk management teams

• Over 10 years of experience in software application/product development.

• More than 5 years of experience in managing solutions delivery teams.

• Proven leadership experience in insurance or financial services.

• Demonstrated expertise in project and team management.

• Proficient in Business Analysis techniques and methodologies.

• Experienced in Agile Delivery methodologies.

• Skilled in Artificial Intelligence and automation implementations.

• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, Business Analytics, Consumer and Web Applications, and Core Administration Applications.

• Hands-on technical skills in system development and architecture.

• Excellent relationship, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strategic, analytical, and creative thinking.

• Strong leadership capabilities.

• Expertise in process and systems transformation.

• Postgraduate studies are an added advantage.
