Purpose of the Role
Chief Stewardess to support the delivery and interior readiness of a 56m new-build sailing yacht. The successful candidate will ensure that all housekeeping, service procedures, and interior operational documentation are in place ahead of handover. Working closely with the Operational Readiness Manager, she will help align interior standards, crew preparedness, and service protocols with project timelines and industry expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with procurement and management of Owner Supply Items (OSI) relevant to yacht commissioning.
- Support the creation and implementation of operational manuals, checklists, and documentation for the vessel.
- Coordinate with project and shipyard teams to ensure operational readiness, including crew familiarisation and onboard training planning.
- Assist with the development of maintenance schedules for the interior department operations.
- Help create and maintain the vessel training matrix.
- Contribute to crew competence assurance in line with Magnitude's readiness standards.
- Support ad hoc tasks as directed by the Operational Readiness Manager, including liaising with subcontractors, yard teams, and other stakeholders.
- Support vessel commissioning activities ensuring a deep understanding of vessel operation within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Guest interior qualifications and food hygiene certificate.
- Fully qualified to sail on the vessel at completion.
- At least 4 years of yachting or maritime industry experience, including involvement in new build or refit projects.
- Familiarity with operational procedures for large yachts or commercial vessels.
- IT proficiency, including document control and maintenance planning tools.
- Previous experience working in a shipyard environment is desirable.
- Medically fit to work on a yacht (holder of a valid ENG 1).
- No visible tattoos or flesh tunnel ear piercings.

Additional Notes / Requirements
- English fluency required; additional European languages are an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in the EU / Italy or possess a valid visa.
- Short-term travel to yard locations and supplier facilities may be necessary.
