Chief of Staff to the President and Head of International Secretariat
AI4I is seeking a brilliant professional to support the President in an executive and strategic capacity. As Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for optimizing the President’s time, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Presidential Office, and overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives. As Head of the International Secretariat, you will act as the main liaison with the Institute’s research units, international research centers, institutions, and private sector partners. This role offers a unique vantage point at the crossroads of science, policy, and institutional relations.
Location: Turin, Italy (on-site)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted collaborator to the President, managing priorities and optimizing workflows.
- Lead the operations of the Presidential Office, ensuring seamless daily activities and internal coordination.
- Accompany or represent the President in selected meetings and projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and follow-through on key actions.
- Monitor and support the execution of strategic initiatives and institutional priorities.
- Oversee the performance of team members within the Presidential Office, identifying development and training needs.
- Draft and prepare presentations, reports, briefing materials, and strategic communications for the President.
- Handle international institutional relations, including contacts, invitations, and agenda coordination as part of the International Secretariat.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the President and the overarching mission of the Institute.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience in a similar role, or in project management, administration, or institutional coordination.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and capability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Proactive attitude and adaptability; problem-solving mindset.
- Fluency in Italian and English is required; knowledge of other languages, particularly French or German, is considered an asset.
- Preferred background in fields such as Logic, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
