Chief Engineer-50m

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m yacht.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a newly built 50m private vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.

Requirements

• Y2 or equivalent
• Schengen visa if applicable essential and b1b2 visa ideal
• Proven experience in a similar role on yachts
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Happy to assist on deck when necessary
• IDEA knowledge beneficial
• AVIT/ETO knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery
• Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols

Start date: May-June

Location: Italy

Salary: DOE

Leave: 2:2 rotation

Shared Cabin

Private vessel-Mediterranean season until November, then possibly the Caribbean.
