Mission
RINA Consulting S.p.A. is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of Space & Defense projects in La Spezia. Key Accountabilities
As a Chemical Laboratory Engineer at RINA Consulting S.p.A., you will have a diverse range of key accountabilities that will drive the success of the projects:
- Conducting detailed bibliographic research to identify the most promising ceramic compositions and synthesis methodologies.
- Performing screening of commercial powders to assess their suitability for specific applications.
- Characterizing powders through various techniques such as DSC-TGA, XRD, SEM, FT-IR, and particle size analysis.
- Implementing thermo-mechanical treatments to optimize powder distribution.
- Engaging in process engineering and scale-up activities to ensure project success.
- Developing innovative techniques for dopant insertion into ceramic matrices.
- Analyzing and interpreting results to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Education
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Chemical Laboratory Engineer at RINA Consulting S.p.A., candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in academic or private laboratories in the R&T sector.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Possess a good command of the English language.
- Be willing to travel internationally to support project requirements.
Preferential Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Matlab software for enhanced data analysis.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as DSC/TGA, XRD, SEM, FT-IR, particle size, and thermal conductivity.
- Understanding of ceramic materials and their properties.
