The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.

This is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week).

The impact you'll make

You will share your menu knowledge with guests, providing warm greetings, flawless table settings, and friendly service to ensure memorable dining experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly
• Serve food and drinks, making recommendations as needed
• Assist guests with menu questions and special requests
• Record transactions accurately in MICROS system
• Check guest satisfaction and ensure quality service
• Clean tables, restock supplies, and complete closing duties
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, allergies, and special requests
• Follow operational guidelines and maintain cleanliness

What we're looking for

• Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
• Positive attitude and outgoing personality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in fine dining preferred
• Knowledge of Micros is an advantage

This role requires physical ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in uniform. Safety training and certification will be required before employment.
