The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is recruiting for a Chef de Rang. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals passionate about F&B. This is a seasonal, full-time role (40 hours/week) in a setting of exceptional art, elegance, history, and culture, meeting Venetian style. The Impact You’ll Make:

You will share your menu knowledge and ensure guests have memorable dining experiences through warm greetings, flawless table settings, and friendly service, making each guest’s visit special and memorable.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly
  • Serve food and beverages, making recommendations as needed
  • Assist guests with menu questions and special requests
  • Record transactions accurately in the MICROS system
  • Check guest satisfaction and ensure service quality
  • Clean tables, restock supplies, and complete closing duties
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, allergies, dietary needs, and product availability
  • Follow cycle time guidelines and maintain cleanliness and presentation standards

Requirements:

  • Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit for full-time employment
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
  • Positive attitude, outgoing personality, and teamwork skills
  • Experience in fine dining is advantageous; knowledge of Micros is a plus

This role involves physical activity, including moving and lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Prior safety training and certification are required.
