The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.

This is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week). It offers an opportunity to work in a place of exceptional art and elegance, where history and culture meet Venetian style. The Gritti is renowned for impassioned service, a delectable culinary experience, and an intimate wellness haven, serving the world's elite at events like the Biennale, Carnival, and Venice Film Festival.

The impact you’ll make

You will share your menu expertise with guests, providing warm greetings, flawless table settings, and friendly service to ensure memorable dining experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming guests and attending to tables
• Serving food and beverages, making recommendations
• Sharing menu knowledge and assisting with questions and requests
• Recording transactions accurately in the MICROS system
• Checking guest satisfaction and maintaining cleanliness
• Communicating with the kitchen about orders, allergies, and special requests
• Following operational guidelines and maintaining hygiene standards

What we’re looking for

• Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit for full-time (40 hours/week)
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
• Positive, outgoing personality with great communication skills
• Experience in fine dining is an advantage; knowledge of Micros is preferred

This role requires physical ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in a uniform. Safety training and certification are prerequisites before employment.
