POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Ensure the quality of food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, presentation, and checklists. Prepare cold foods.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
  • Follow all company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; protect company assets.
  • Address guests’ service needs proactively.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
  • Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to concerns appropriately.
  • Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; reach overhead and below knees; perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational background: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Work experience: Minimum of 3 years in related roles.
  • Supervisory experience: None required.
  • Licenses or certifications: None needed.
