A leading hotel is seeking a skilled cook to join its kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in culinary arts and at least three years of relevant experience. POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Ensure the quality of food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, presentation, and checklists. Prepare cold foods.
