Job Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals or substitute items.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
- Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
- Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials.
- Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
- Ensure the quality of food items.
- Prepare and cook according to recipes, standards, and checklists.
- Prepare cold foods.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff.
- Follow all safety and security policies; report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; protect company assets.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Adhere to quality standards.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Supervisory Experience: None required.
- License/Certification: None required.
