Summary / Role Purpose
The Channel Account Manager is responsible for:
- Achieving sales targets for a specific region and growing Ansys business sustainably.
- Implementing the Ansys Partner Program and collaborating closely with channel partners to ensure their focus and success.
- Informing Ansys management about region-specific requirements, competition, and obstacles affecting performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell Ansys solutions in a designated region through channel partners, owning the regional sales plan.
- Lead sales opportunities in territories, key accounts, universities, research labs, and other regional opportunities.
- Build relationships with senior customer executives, conduct joint visits, and coach channel partner sales teams.
- Ensure timely sales, technical, and certification trainings.
- Provide accurate forecasts and review pipelines regularly with partners.
- Implement and manage the Ansys Partner Program and regional marketing initiatives.
- Review partner performance quarterly, highlight achievements, and plan corrective actions.
- Mediate partner requests and issues, ensuring customer satisfaction with Ansys solutions.
- Assist regional leadership in analyzing market trends and defining strategies.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and new Ansys business partners.
- Represent Ansys at all levels, including industry media, and act as a liaison with internal departments.
Minimum Education / Certification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, or business field.
- At least 4 years of successful sales experience in key accounts and indirect channel management in the software industry.
- Experience negotiating sales contracts and managing sales channels.
- Strong analytical, planning, coaching, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- MBA preferred.
- Strong sales and business acumen.
- Understanding of engineering design processes and deployment of PLM/simulation tools in manufacturing and process industries.
