Overview

Our client is a small-sized Italian company operating in the industrial plant engineering sector, backed by an investor whose objective is to build an aggregated industrial hub designed to consolidate and grow with a long-term vision.

As part of its growth strategy, the company is looking for a CEO with a proven track record in buy & build operations and a background in PE-backed Italian industrial entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the commercial and development strategy of the Holding and its subsidiaries, focusing on both organic growth and external growth (buy & build) within a decentralized model;
• Actively participate in due diligence, acquisition, and integration processes of target companies, with particular attention to the execution of cost & revenue synergies;
• Accelerate organic growth through the bottom-up development of a group-wide commercial organization;
• Oversee the integration of reporting and operational processes across the different regions in which the group operates, ensuring coherence and harmonization;
• Drive ongoing harmonization at group level and progressively integrate services and go-to-market strategies;
• Manage investor relations, ensuring transparency, reporting, and strategic alignment;
• Serve as a strong reference point for entrepreneurs and managers of the portfolio companies, fostering managerial and cultural development;
• Build and consolidate the group's corporate culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and results orientation;
• Ensure the Holding's competitive market positioning, including through innovation and the development of new business lines;
• Represent the company with investors, institutions, and both local and international stakeholders;
• Work closely with the CFO and other C-level executives in structuring processes, governance systems, and defining industrial plans;
• Supervise the operational management and overall performance of the controlled companies, ensuring medium-to-long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in buy & build operations and a background in PE-backed Italian industrial entrepreneurship.
• Experience in due diligence, acquisition and integration processes, with focus on the execution of cost & revenue synergies.
• Ability to accelerate organic growth by building and guiding a group-wide commercial organization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including investor relations and collaboration with executives.
• Ability to work with CFO and other C-level executives on governance, processes, and industrial plans.
