Job Description:

J&J Innovative Medicine is seeking a Cell Therapy Account Leader (CTAL) – Central Southern Italy for a permanent position within the Commercial Unit. The role is crucial for the launch readiness of our first CAR-T in Multiple Myeloma and to establish J&J as a leader in cell therapy.

Role Purpose:

The CTAL will serve as the business partner to the site CAR-T lead physician, hospital management, and Quality team, functioning as One Face to the site. Reporting directly to the CAR-T Lead within the broader Multiple Myeloma Business Unit, the CTAL will be a core member of the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Developing the strategic plan for J&J cell therapy sites, including site selection, capacity assessments, and demand forecasts.
  • Activating CAR-T sites and establishing relationships with key decision makers for certification and transition from clinical to certified sites.
  • Serving as One Face to the site to ensure a seamless experience during setup & certification, including developing training strategies and coordinating the Janssen certification team.
  • Streamlining contracting and economic processes for hospital teams.
  • Collaborating with supply chain, quality, regulatory, legal, compliance, and medical teams at local and European levels to establish site protocols around CAR-T.
  • Acting as a key site partner during operations, resolving issues by involving appropriate functions.
  • Engaging with hospital decision makers to maintain access and budget allocation, communicating value propositions in liaison with J&J HEMAR.
  • Monitoring site performance, supporting workflow and capacity optimization, and facilitating capacity expansion or new indications.
  • Collaborating with the Multiple Myeloma Business Unit on referral strategies and cross-country initiatives.
Qualifications - Internal:
  • University degree in Scientific, Economics, or Management fields.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven record in launching specialty products.
  • Experience as an MSL, in CRO, or biotech manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Key account management, project management, and hospital experience are essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian healthcare system and hospitals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, strategic, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English.
