Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) invites applications for a registered nurse in the Cath Lab. You will provide patient care for invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures, following the nursing process and coordinating with the health care team.

Education includes graduation from a School of Professional Nursing; an optional Critical Care Course or Cath Lab certification. Licenses include SC licensure, BLS and ACLS; prior critical care experience is required/preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing.
• Critical Care Course or certification in critical care or Cath lab preferred but not required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Critical Care Experience required.
• License to practice in the Commonwealth of South Carolina.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.
• The registered nurse assumes responsibility for patients while in the department and provides care to these patients, as needed via the nursing process, environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.
