Category Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to lead our product categories to success and make an impact on our dynamic e-commerce platform.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage market insights to maximize profitability and growth.

As a Category Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing category strategies, driving specific product assortment, and maximizing profitability.

  • Category Strategy Development: Analyze industry and consumer trends to devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
  • Product Assortment Management: Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
  • Pricing and Promotion: Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize consumer appeal and profitability.
  • Vendor Relations: Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure alignment with category strategies and execution plans.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
  • Preferred Categories: Fashion, Home and Garden, FMCG, Electronics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of working experience.
  • Fluent in English as the working language.
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role in a marketplace or other e-commerce environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using category management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
