Job Description

As Carrier Management Analyst, you will support delivering innovative procurement solutions for the regional business, and will work on producing KPI reports to achieve continuous cost savings and customer service requirements.

You will be the primary daily contact point for transporters, Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Execution relating to transport sourcing and transporter performance.

Responsibilities
  • Support Carrier Manager in the development and implementation of national and local freight procurement and transport sourcing strategy
  • Support Carrier Manager in initiation and development of bid events and sign of routing guides in the Tranport Management System (TMS) to its conclusion to analyse of costs results and proposal of cost improvements
  • Support Carrier Manager with the on-boarding of new carriers
  • Drive continuous improvement in service and cost reduction, constantly looking for ways to improve our processes
  • Support standardisation of transporter procedures and measurements
  • Drive uptake of digitisation projects
  • Track, manage, analyse and challenge carrier performances including rates, capacity and service commitments
  • Professionally communicate with internal and external suppliers
  • Support and active development of Customer and Retailer Collaboration activities
  • Provide support for projects in carrier management
  • Responsible for the maintenance of carriers on CHEP systems (Blue Yonder)
  • Analyse service incidents and proactively propose actions for improvement
  • Support Carrier Manager to supervise compliance with transporters safety policy regulations
What we look for
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge in Logistic Processes.
  • Understands the basic principles of either Supply Chain or Transport & / or Logistics function
  • Experience of working in a result orientated, customer focused environment
  • High negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Lean Transport Management System (desirable but not essential as training can be given)
  • Basic MS Excel skills
  • Works successfully in a matrix structure and multicultural environment.
