We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer to join our team in Rome. The role involves working with the latest technologies and agile methodologies to develop software products used by international companies.

The HCL Rome Lab is one of the few opportunities in Rome to work in a pure software development laboratory, with a young and dynamic team who works side by side with seniors. You will use the latest technologies and agile methodologies to develop software products.

Your role will vary depending on project requirements. You'll maybe join a project at the initial implementation or ideation stage, or be brought into a project midway through.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics
• Basic knowledge of software technologies and design patterns
• Development experience on at least one project
• Able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts
• Fluent English required; fluent Italian is essential for the job

Once more experienced, you will:

• Work with our engineering team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions
• Develop product features for scalable and innovative products
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
