Webuild is a global construction player specialized in building large works and complex infrastructure for the sustainable mobility, hydroelectric energy, water, green buildings and the tunnelling sectors.

Position: Capex & Procurement Planning Specialist

Based in Milan. The new hire will work in the Plant & Equipment Planning department, within the Budgeting & Planning function, and will collaborate with Global Supply Chain.

The ideal person has at least 2-3 years of experience in management control, with a specific focus on purchasing.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the management control activities for the Procurement department, ensuring accurate monitoring of costs and investments related to technical assets (e.g. plant and equipment), direct and indirect materials and company investments.
  • Perform variance analyses and provide periodic reports to management to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with AFC and Procurement departments to align business objectives with expenditure control and optimisation needs.
  • Monitor and manage procurement-related KPIs and propose corrective actions to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to budgets.
  • Use SAP to monitor and analyse financial and operational data related to procurement.
  • Collaborate with different business functions (e.g. Operations, Logistics) to optimise resource allocation and maximise return on investment.
Requirements
  • Degree in Economics or related disciplines.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in management control, with a specific focus on procurement and cost management activities.
  • Experience in the Construction, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Industrial, Railway or Energy sectors.
  • Experience in variance monitoring and financial analysis management.
  • Computer skills: good knowledge of SAP and ability to use it for reporting and analysis activities. Knowledge of IBM Cognos TM1 is appreciated.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with aptitude for working in complex and dynamic environments.
