THE POSITION

We are looking for a hands-on, hard-working, and detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our team dedicated to crafting the Best Shooting Handguns in the World. As the Calibration Technician, your responsibilities will include providing support for manufacturing quality, quality training, supplier quality, and quality testing. You'll be tasked with performing validation procedures, documenting calibration data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that span the entire organization.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of mechanical and optical inspections, proficiency in basic-measurement skills, familiarity with mechanical systems, adeptness in documentation techniques, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The Calibration Technician will report, perform, and maintain the standard of work and will ensure safety, quality, and purity requirements are met. This position will report directly to the Quality Testing and Validations Engineer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct routine testing and calibration on hand measurement tools across all product lines.
  • Analyze and interpret testing result data.
  • Assist with addressing any quality concerns and reporting them to management.
  • Carry out necessary functions, including troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and performing repairs.
  • Ensure the accountability and maintenance of all fixtures and mounting devices used in testing.
  • Assist in the development of calibration procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned (Quality or Production).
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to general team member expectations, this role specifically requires the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • 1-2 years of Calibration or Related Field Experience is required.
  • Qualifications include an associate degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Similar military training in calibration may also be considered, provided it meets equivalent standards.
  • Relevant industry certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, hardness testers, optical comparators, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with following processes and documenting results from inspection is required.
  • Quality Control experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of traceability is preferred.
  • Keyence IM’s experience is a plus.
  • Quality Assurance experience is a plus.
