Our client is a large player within Europe’s communications installation sector since 1998, with branches across Europe and the Middle East. They have extensive experience providing Telecommunications Installation Services within Data Centres, Transportation, Utility Providers, Civil, and Construction Sectors. Our client is looking for a Cable Technician to join their expanding team based in Ireland and Europe. The role is based in Ireland, but you may need to travel abroad to other European countries.

You must be an EU citizen and authorized to travel and work freely within Europe.

Requirements:

• Experience in installing fibre optic cables
• Experience in installing Copper Cables (Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A)
• Termination and testing of fibre optic and copper cabling
• Ability to follow design drawings and schematics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Focus on Health & Safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in using hand and power tools safely

Responsibilities:

• Installing and dressing Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A (Copper Cables)
• Installing and dressing fibre optic cables
• Installing Cabinets and Racks
• Terminating and testing Copper and Fibre Optic Cables
• Patching Fibre cables and labelling
• Following design drawings and schematics

Preferred but not essential qualifications:

• Full Driving License
• Working at Heights (training provided)
• IPAF Certification (training provided)
• Manual Handling (training provided)

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: €38,000 - €45,000 per year, depending on experience
• Benefits: Free accommodation and transport abroad, €150/week when abroad, free flights every 3-4 weeks when abroad, company pension, overtime pay

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed
