Multinational Company, leader in rail systems, is looking for a Tactical Buyer.
Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Execution of MRP and controlling tasks (order process, rescheduling, stock movements, management of customer orders for trading goods)
- Handling logistics incidents and clarifications with relevant counterparts (goods receipt area, warehouse, forwarders)
- Confirming material availability to production planning and/or sales order management
- Managing exceptions in case of errors and special processes
- Running process mining tools to identify inefficiencies
- Managing missing parts (reactive and proactive) with the operations team
- Managing material returns in case of quality incidents
- Forecasting process for suppliers to ensure material availability
- Clarifying invoice price differences
- Managing delivery performance, including root cause analysis and action plans
- Managing inventory, turn rate levels, and obsolete stocks (IwD)
- Optimizing lead times and supply chain flexibility
- Maintaining all necessary SAP master data to ensure material availability
- Agreeing and creating schedule agreements with suppliers
- Supplier selection based on competitiveness, technical feasibility, and capacity
- Negotiating contracts, prices, and logistical conditions from a TCO perspective
- Handling tool and FAI orders
- Creating local commodity strategies aligned with central management
- Supporting and leading make-or-buy projects with internal stakeholders
- Planning and executing savings projects in close alignment with commodity management
- Leading and executing savings activities within the organization
- Handling supplier price increase requests
- Managing projects to improve the cost structure of specific products
- Leveraging improvement potential in delivery performance and lead times based on supplier value stream evaluations
Professional skills required:
- 2-5 years of experience as a Buyer or Purchase Specialist in an industrial context
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; knowledge of SAP MM is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in MS Office
- High affinity for IT tools, data management, and analytics
- Ability to work under pressure
The contract and salary will be proportionate to experience.
