• Buyer

As a Buyer, you will work within the purchasing department. This role requires substantial technical knowledge and experience in purchasing strategies and negotiation skills to ensure the achievement of project or company objectives such as time to market, volume targets, timely delivery of initial samples, and first-time quality.

• A day in life
• Scout, search, and contact suppliers domestically and internationally.
• Promote cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to perform vendor source inspections, support corrective actions, and manage the return process for discrepant materials.
• Analyze product requirements, including specifications, preferred suppliers, and delivery deadlines.
• Work with Engineering and Quality to issue RFQs and inquiry the supplier base.
• Investigate and interview potential suppliers to assess their compliance with requirements.
• Ensure product delivery as scheduled, at negotiated prices, and meeting quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, lead times, and costs with suppliers.
• Manage the assigned commodity, defining strategies aligned with company targets.
• Monitor technological trends related to the assigned commodity to support innovation and product development.
• Develop commodity strategies based on projects and company goals.

Must have
