What will you be doing in this role?
This position will have the following responsibilities:
- Execute direct and indirect materials purchasing and procurement for designated sites, in accordance with replenishment, logistics footprints, and inventory control as approved by Supply Chain.
- Issue purchase orders to ensure timely availability of the right quantity of materials at the agreed price and conditions, using ETS approved vendors.
Responsibilities and deliverables include:
- Manage relationships with suppliers within your scope, driving efficiencies and cost reductions.
- Deploy contracts, standard terms & conditions, preferred payment terms, and Incoterms consistent with business objectives and strategies set by Supply Chain.
- Issue purchase orders, follow up with approval compliance, and communicate open PO reports to suppliers to support material expediting and inventory control.
- Ensure material availability with the correct timing to support site production.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Technical Department) and engage with vendors to coordinate production and shipping activities, resolving complaints or delays.
- Identify negotiation opportunities based on purchase requisitions analysis.
- Manage and mitigate supplier price increase requests.
- Ensure inventory stock levels are maintained.
- Define, in collaboration with relevant Category Leaders, the appropriate replenishment strategies for different materials and suppliers.
Work Experience & Education Requirements
Education and experience
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical, engineering, or business discipline is preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement and material management roles is preferred.
