Responsibilities include preparing strategic materials, managing databases, and organizing client events. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Business Administration or Law, fluency in English, and relevant experience in a law or consulting firm.

Job Purpose

The resource will join the Italian Business Development and Marketing team and will provide support to the Firm by developing the Italian business strategy and priorities aimed at retaining and further developing the client portfolio and expanding the market positioning and perception of the Firm towards the key stakeholders (clients, legal market, financial community, media).

Key responsibilities

The resource, reporting to the Italy Business Development, Marketing & Communications Manager, will be responsible for the following activities :

• Preparation of strategic BD materials : client meetings and presentations, analysis of prospective clients and sectors / markets
• Pitching & Proposals : preparation of pitch documents and / or the administrative aspects of Italian public tenders
• Management and update of BD databases
• Legal directories and submissions process
• Support in organising client facing events and conferences

Working closely with the Italy BD & Marketing Manager and the BD Italian team, and collaborate closely with the BD teams of the global network

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications and Technical Skills :

Fluent English (both oral and written)

Excellent knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, matter management databases

Higher education

Desirable : Degree Level in Business Administration or Law

Experience

Previous experience in similar roles as BD professional in a law firm or consulting firm

Familiarity with core BD and Marketing activities such as : sales and client support, pitching, market Analysis, directories management and management of marketing tools

Personal Qualities :

Good team player, energetic, culturally sensitive

Excellent attention to detail

Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
