Claire Joster is seeking an Business Development Manager | RE for a prominent Spanish start-up in the Real Estate sector, which already has over 230 employees across Spain, France, and Germany, and is planning to expand into the Italian market in Milan.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the launch team in Milan. This role is crucial for the company's growth in Italy, leveraging a broad network of major local Real Estate firms, property developers, family officers, institutional property owners, and independent owners.

Your goal will be to elevate the business, focusing on acquiring new properties—be it individual units or entire buildings—and developing relationships with large investment funds and investors, all while maintaining and promoting a strong reputation in the sector.

As a startup with a unique culture, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and face numerous challenges and opportunities along the way.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Building a pipeline of properties that meet company standards
  2. Developing a robust network of real estate companies, property developers, family officers, institutional owners, and independent landlords
  3. Negotiating and managing long-term leases for high-quality apartments in desirable locations in Milan
  4. Managing and expanding existing relationships within the property network
  5. Identifying suitable buildings and properties
  6. Securing contracts for multiple high-quality units
  7. Promoting and enhancing the company's reputation in the industry
  8. Collaborating with various departments to address owner requests, challenges, and contracts
  9. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data

Candidate profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the residential or development real estate sector in Milan
  • Deep knowledge of the Milan real estate market and an extensive network in the area
  • Proven experience managing complex residential leases
  • Skilled negotiator and relationship manager
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable to ambiguity and change
  • Team-oriented with confidence in cross-functional teamwork
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment
