WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth in the project business segment which includes International Hotel chains and managing relationships with key International Consultants. This role combines strategic market development, key account management, and Consultant engagement to maximize sales opportunities and strengthen the company’s position in the hospitality sector. The mission is to create and manage the relationship with the relevant external stakeholders and generate project business opportunities and finally transfer them to Electrolux Professional Country Sales Office.

Responsibilities
- Segment Leadership: lead business development activities for the project business segment with high focus on International Hotel Chains, identifying new opportunities and building a robust sales pipeline.
- Account Management: manage key International Hotel Chains accounts, from initial contact through to project delivery and after‑sales support.
- Consultant Engagement: develop and maintain strong relationships with key International food service Consultants, ensuring the company’s solutions are specified within all food service market segments, not limited to hotels. Increase customer base via developing the Consultant network for specification.
- Market Intelligence: monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy and product development.
- Collaboration: work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product management) to deliver tailored solutions for hotel clients and Consultants.
- Project Support: support tender processes and large‑scale hotel projects, coordinating with Consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Reporting: provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market insights. Utilize digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track leads, manage accounts, and monitor project progress within the hotel and Consultant segments.
- Digital Tools, Media & Communication: leverage analytics tools to gather market insights, monitor competitor activity, and identify new business opportunities. Collaborate with marketing to develop digital content tailored for hotel clients and Consultants. Organize and participate in online events, webinars, and virtual meetings to present solutions and maintain relationships with clients and Consultants.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product management, technical support) to deliver tailored solutions. Ensure smooth execution of projects from proposal to installation and after‑sales support.
Accountabilities
- Achievement of sales and growth targets in the hotel segment.
- Building of opportunities pipeline for the hotel segment,
- Creation and expansion of the Consultant network and increased project specifications.
- High levels of Customer and Consultant satisfaction.
- Accurate and timely reporting of business activities.
WHAT’S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or similar field.
- Proven experience in Business Development and Consultants Management.
- Ability to build a long term vision putting together market trends, customer insight and competitive scenarios.
- Understanding the principles of marketing and cost‑effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product‑service offer development, features‑benefits‑solutions selling. Ability to understand profit and loss calculations.
- Skills in communication and positive and open attitude are important traits of the researched profile. The position requires intense interaction with several departments, functions and countries therefore people‑management skills, experience and natural ability are necessary.
- A genuine passion for products is mandatory. Product and market knowledge a relevant advantage.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM (SalesForce preferred) software
- Fluent in English, other European languages are considered a plus. Availability to travel is required.
