Chaberton Professionals , the Middle Management division of Chaberton Partners , is currently looking for a Business Development Manager.

A prominent player in the Life Sciences sector is seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join its expanding international team. This role is focused on identifying and nurturing new business relationships within Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies, particularly across EU regions. The position is fully remote and the candidate will report to the Head of Business Development. The position comes with a pre-existing client base that is ready to be cultivated and expanded. While the role is remote, candidates will benefit from structured internal support across scientific, operational, and commercial functions.

Job Description:

  • Proactively seek out and develop new business leads within the assigned territory
  • Manage all phases of the sales process, from prospecting through to contract finalization
  • Build long-term partnerships with clients by conducting regular visits and follow-ups
  • Meet or exceed annual sales objectives and contribute to strategic regional growth
  • Gain a strong understanding of the company's portfolio of services and discovery platforms
  • Arrange and lead meetings between key client stakeholders and internal subject matter experts
  • Craft proposals tailored to client needs while emphasizing the company's strengths and differentiation
  • Ensure a consistent pipeline by performing outreach activities, including cold outreach when relevant
  • Represent the company at industry-specific events, conferences, and networking venues

Requirements:

  • A degree in a scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, pharmacology)
  • 4+ years of experience in business development or sales within life sciences or related industries
  • Proven record of consistently closing deals and driving revenue
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong commercial acumen and passion for client engagement
