A leading life sciences company in Italy seeks a Business Development professional to identify new leads and build client relationships in the biotech sector. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience and offers significant field exposure. Ideal candidates should exhibit a self-motivated attitude and strong communication skills. Revenue Growth Support : Proactively identify and qualify new leads for Evotec’s contract services. Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & Biotech sectors) from first contact to signed contract.
Help increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in your territory by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events.
Spend 40–50% of your time in the field with clients under guidance from senior BD staff, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
Sales Process Execution : Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Insights : Track account activity, maintain CRM data, and provide market feedback to senior management.
2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred).
Familiarity with drug discovery pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable).
A self-motivated and target driven individual with a strong desire to push deals to closure. Ability to identify opportunities, conduct client research, and craft initial recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector.
Play a key role in growing a fee-for-service business at the cutting edge of drug discovery.
Work directly with senior BD leaders for mentorship and career development.
High visibility and field exposure (40–50% of time with clients) to allow build of a strong personal network.
