Overview of Position

The BD Manager is a highly independent individual, focused on promoting PotisEdge products and services in the industry and growing PotisEdge market shares in Europe markets. The holder of the position will interact with current and future customers to ensure overall customer satisfaction and generate a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and the market requirements.

The position will be an outstanding opportunity for a forward thinking, action-oriented professional looking for new challenges within a dynamic, growth-oriented company.

By becoming a part of the International Sales team in PotisEdge at this early stage, there will be a chance to both leave a footprint in the successful market development and to also develop one’s own career in the dynamic and long-term growing renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Major responsibilities: Oversee business development, strategy, and execution.
  • Prospecting, qualifying and acquiring new customers as well as managing existing relationships with customers in energy storage wholesales / distributions, EPC, Developer, IPP. The focus will be on Developers.
  • The region is the South, WEST, Center European.
  • Translate client requests and market trends into high levels of service, product modifications, and new product developments and deliver growth in revenue.
  • Coordinate all technical activities related to customer and project success.
  • Gathering information about energy storage market intelligence, ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated & implemented.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with BESS distribution channels.
  • Nurture the relationship with leading BESS project developers at multiple levels to ensure that PotisEdge remains the supplier of choice for power conversion electronics in their installations.
  • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the markets.
  • Successfully execute a brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist for the brand.
  • Liaise with headquarter and the global team and peers to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met.
Requirements

Business & Sales Expertise

  • Business development expertise with a proven sales track record with tier 1 companies.
  • Strongly networked in the renewable energy, preferably in energy storage industry.
  • Ability to influence major stakeholders both internally & externally.
  • Strong communication skills including large group presentations & discussions.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to quickly assess priorities.

Customer Management Expertise

  • Excellent customer relationship management.
  • Able to confidently convey product benefits & cost advantages to customers.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in working with customers to resolve emergency situations.

Desirable Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or of similar nature.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Solid experience with energy storage products, preferably BESS.
  • Flexibility in working for highly fluctuating and demanding markets.
  • International mindset for a multi-cultural environment.
  • Willing to travel.
