Business Development Manager M / F / X
Due to continued growth, we are expanding our sales team and are seeking a driven sales professional with proven experience in creating new business opportunities in the IT industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, tenacious, and self-motivated sales professional eager for success.
Your main responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to deal closure
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with C-level clients (CEO, CIO, CTO)
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to close deals
- Contribute to defining and executing the company's sales strategy
- Co-create impactful campaigns with our Partner Marketing and Events team to increase market awareness
- Work closely with other team members and stakeholders (Account Managers, Pre-Sales, Marketing)
- Continuously develop new skills
- Be willing to travel
Your future impact
In 6 months
- Gain knowledge of the OVHcloud portfolio
- Identify customers with growth potential
- Conduct physical and virtual meetings with your portfolio
In 1 year
- Understand the OVHcloud market ecosystem, including go-to-market strategies, segmentation, and initiatives (partners, OpenTrustedCloud, Start-ups)
- Enhance the market value of your customers and help them expand into new markets using our cloud solutions and ecosystem
- Lead initiatives within the company, business unit, or team
Skills required
- At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, including 3 years in cloud services sales
- Fluent in English (C1 level)
- Proven track record of closing deals with SMBs and technology companies
- Strong individual contributor and team player
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to propose innovative solutions and explore new market opportunities
Additional skills (a plus)
- Good understanding of the European cloud/IaaS/PaaS market
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms
- Experience in sales strategies, lead generation, and closing deals
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Understanding of cloud market trends and customer needs
- Strategic planning skills to drive growth and adoption of cloud services
- Experience in setting and achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
- Consultative selling experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to stay updated on cloud technologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team
