Overview

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to join our Global Transport Team. This role will focus primarily on business development in Italy, with additional support provided to France and other Western European markets as needed.

This is a role responsible for growing ALTRO’s presence and profitability within the bus and coach segment, building strategic relationships, securing vehicle specifications, and supporting long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the bus and coach business across Italy.
  • Build strong relationships with OEMs, bus operators, interior designers, and government / municipal clients.
  • Support lead generation and customer engagement in France and other Western European markets as needed.
  • Represent ALTRO’s brand positively in the regional transport industry.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services aligned to market needs.
  • Drive Key Account Management (KAM) approach in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Promote value-added services, manage customer projects, and oversee the sales cycle end-to-end.
  • Participate in trade fairs, develop acquisition concepts, and provide strategic market feedback.
  • Analyze customer potential based on revenue, margin, and strategic fit.
  • Review and support contractual and pricing agreements in line with the global transport framework.
  • For the avoidance of doubt: responsibilities in Italy are limited to support functions and do not include concluding contracts.
What You’ll Need
  • Essential Proven experience in the bus and coach industry in Italy.
  • Ability to leverage an existing network of contacts for immediate business impact.
  • Understanding of OEM and operator sourcing processes.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Italy and Western Europe.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Desirable Sales or commercial training background.
  • Field sales and key account management experience.
  • Experience with project / bid management.
