Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our Business Development team. This role involves driving growth, expanding Retex’s clientele through identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and negotiating and closing deals.

The Role You Will Play :

  • Strategic Vision : Lead Retex’s growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, positioning Retex as a key partner in marketing and communication, and fostering opportunities across our offerings.
  • Industry Expertise : Analyze industries and attract relevant prospects, conducting research, monitoring, and audits in coordination with relevant directors to ensure industry relevance and tailored client solutions.
  • Client-Centric Approach : Promote our products and services by addressing or anticipating client objectives, developing value propositions based on their needs, and building rapport through a consultative and multidisciplinary approach.
  • Sales Excellence : Develop sales strategies, identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, and utilize negotiation skills to drive the sales process from planning to closing.
  • Project Management : Oversee marketing and communication projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish, including participation in RFPs and maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Requirements

While you may not meet all criteria, we believe these characteristics will help you excel :

  • Educational and Professional Mastery : At least 5 years of experience in roles such as Business Development Manager or Sales Executive, preferably with a background in Marketing & Communications. Experience with clients in sectors like Consumer & Hard Goods, Health & Pharma, Telco & Utilities, Travel & Services is a plus.
  • Technical Fluency : Proven success in sales and business development, with the ability to drive the sales process from planning to close.
  • Interpersonal Savvy : Exceptional negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and proficiency in Italian and English (at least B2) for effective collaboration.
  • Initiative and Organization : Ability to build rapport, collaborate effectively, and proactively achieve results in a dynamic environment.
