As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for providing high-quality analysis, research, and execution support in three main areas: Corporate Strategy, Market and Competitive Intelligence for new Businesses, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and business acumen with curiosity, initiative, and a strategic mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the formulation, refinement, and communication of short- and long-term corporate strategies.
- Support strategic planning cycles with data analysis, trend forecasting, and scenario modeling.
- Develop strategic presentations and materials for executive leadership and board-level discussions.
- Track progress against strategic objectives and assist in defining KPIs for ongoing monitoring.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct detailed market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential threats in potential new markets identified by the Strategy.
- Perform competitive benchmarking and build industry landscape models to inform positioning and strategy.
- Analyze customer needs, industry innovations, and business model shifts.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations and strategic implications, building Business Plan and Make or Buy analysis scenarios where needed
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support
- Support the M&A pipeline through opportunity identification, target screening, and evaluation.
- Conduct preliminary financial and strategic assessments of potential targets, including valuation modeling.
- Assist in managing due diligence processes in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Contribute to integration planning and post-deal analysis to measure deal effectiveness.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and align on strategic priorities.
- Engage with external consultants, advisors, and industry experts when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or similar strategic roles.
- Exposure to M&A processes, strategic planning, or market research strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and market intelligence tools (e.g., PitchBook, Capital IQ).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a high level of business acumen.
