Bolton Food Italy is seeking a bright Business Controlling Intern to support the Finance team. You will bridge operational finance and commercial strategy, analyzing trade spend, advertising investments and overhead costs to drive data-driven decisions and margin improvement.

Based in Milan, the internship involves net sales analysis, overhead cost control, reporting dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Trade, Sales and Global Finance.

Competenze

• Final-year Bachelor’s or early Master’s student in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulae); familiarity with BI tools or ERP systems is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian with strong command of English.
• Strong attention to detail, organized and proactive.

• Net Sales management: monitor and analyze sales performance across products and distribution channels, prepare variances versus Budget and Forecast, support sales forecasting process.
• Overhead cost control: collect and analyze indirect costs, support forecasting, variance reporting and cost optimization initiatives.

We are looking for a bright Business Controlling Intern to join our Finance team at Bolton Food Italy.

How you make the difference

As a Business Controlling Intern, you’ll support the Finance Italy team by bridging operational finance and commercial strategy. Your analytical support on trade spending, advertising investments, and overhead costs will help steer data‑driven decisions and improve margin performance.

How Your Agenda Looks Like

• Net Sales management: monitor and analyze sales performance across products and distribution channels, prepare variances versus Budget and Forecast, support sales forecasting process;

Your Team

You will report to a Business Controller and interact daily with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing and other internal stakeholders as a key business partner in financial analysis and operational support.

How You Look Like

• Final‑year Bachelor’s or early Master’s student in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or related fields;
• Excellent analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulae); familiarity with BI tools or ERP systems is a plus;
• Fluent in Italian with strong command of English;
• Strong attention to detail, organized and proactive;
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across teams;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey numeric insights to non‑financial stakeholders.
