Business Controller

We are looking for a Business Controller to join the DHL eCommerce Cross-Border Solutions team

Business Controller

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Prepare / create customer profitability reviews, create transparency and provide pro-active insight to support business decision making
2. Cost controlling and cost timing (high quality required)
3. Drive performance dialogue with business partners in terms of gross profit per customer
4. Strong participation in the process of month end closing (e.g. invoice coding and allocation of direct costs)
5. Prepare Month End Reporting Deck
6. Own Parcel Connect services from cost perspective incl. cost allocation to customers
7. Validate accruals and provisions
8. Lead the forecasting and budget process (P&L + Cash Flow)
9. Improve data models on a permanent basis
10. Run and support Finance initiatives
11. Support Head Office, Head of Finance, Managing Director with reports, insights, analysis, data etc.
12. Support processes and continuous process improvement in the interface between business and Finance
13. Dealing with ad-hoc requests
14. Analysis of P&L and Cash Flow Data
15. Maintain PowerBi data engines

Your Profile:

1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance / Accounting or comparable
2. Min. 5 years of relevant experience in Finance / Controlling. Experience in logistics industry is a plus
3. Strong understanding of cost allocation and performance drivers
4. Strong skills in Excel (must) and Power BI
5. Good knowledge of Power Point (Think-Cell is a plus)
6. Good SAP knowledge
7. Familiar in dealing with complex data
8. Advanced communication skills: fluent in Italian and English. German is a plus
9. Detail oriented and commitment to quality output
10. Able to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
11. Proactive approach, task and goal-orientated
12. Strong team player
13. Hands-on mentality
