Business Controller

Company Overview :

Our company, located in the Alto Vicentino area (VI), specializes in the production of equipment for the food industry and is part of a US-based group.

Responsibilities : The Business Controller, reporting directly to the CFO, will be part of the Finance and Controlling department, providing financial insights to achieve business targets, analyzing the actual results, and presenting recommendations to senior management. As the link between the business lines and the Accounting & Finance Direction, he / she will both challenge their performance to ensure alignment to the company’s strategy as well as support them in realizing their financial objectives.

These Will Be the Main Responsibilities of The Role :

Ensure the timeliness and quality of Monthly Closing, Budgeting & Forecasting Processes and Management Reporting, while contributing to analyze and follow up the performances of all the business lines. Develop performance analysis : define and track financial and non-financial KPIs, through monthly reports for the different business units, establish benchmarks and implement indicators improvements. Develop short and long-term performance metrics related to sales, industrial overhead costs, selling and general expenses. Perform profit analysis by profit center including price, volume, cost deep dives by business unit or market channel and present findings and recommendations to the Management Team. Perform analysis on PPV (purchase price variance), provide financial insights on optimizing FCF (free cash flow) with mainly focus on Working Capital performance. Support monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting and analysis. Oversee monthly closing (sales, cost analysis, manufacturing variances, etc). Lead, together with the team, the Budget and Forecast bottom-up process, coordinating all the functions involved. Manage Project Cost control. Monitor Capex. Improve the understanding of Operations performance and review the product costing model; standard cost review (material, overhead and labor rate cost); support Operations in the annual or periodic Inventory.

Requirements :

Degree in Economics or Management Engineering. 5 years of strong Business Controlling and Accounting (Italian and US Gaap) background acquired in an international industrial environment. Knowledge of the industrial control activities. Knowledge of Business Intelligence Systems with experience in building up reports in BI tools. Fluent in English both spoken and written. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the Company organization. Ability to meet challenging objectives and deadlines in an efficient and effective way. Proactive and able to organize autonomously.
