Our client, a leading commercial property management company specializing in real estate, is seeking a Data Center Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Management team supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Data Center Operating Engineer

What's the Job?
  • Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance on all building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems, and take corrective action as required.
  • Manage work orders, including CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
  • Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Learn and understand the data center site to manage incidents and events that could jeopardize critical systems.
What's Needed?
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience maintaining critical facility equipment such as electrical systems, HVAC generators, cooling systems, power distribution systems, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, make sound decisions, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills including email, Word, and Excel.
