Role description :

The Broadband Networks Sales Director is responsible for business development and growth of Harmonic’s Fiber / PON Solutions. This includes developing regional and local go-to-market strategies, acquiring new business, and expanding existing accounts across Europe. The role involves building relationships with senior business and technical executives, demonstrating the benefits of multi-gigabit services with confidence and technical, commercial, and strategic competence. The position is flexible geographically within Europe.

What you will be doing :

This position involves complex solution sales and relationship management, requiring an understanding of customer business and technology environments. Responsibilities include :

  1. Developing relationships with existing and new key accounts, identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  2. Managing and developing sales strategies aligned with Harmonic’s go-to-market model.
  3. Building relationships with Harmonic resellers for business opportunities.
  4. Creating and executing account and opportunity plans to meet company goals and quotas.
  5. Collaborating with strategic and technology partners to offer comprehensive solutions.
  6. Serving as the primary contact for customer relationships and managing ongoing commercial interactions.
  7. Prioritizing efforts to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
  8. Providing timely reporting and accurate forecasting.
  9. Promoting suitable business models to meet customer expectations.
  10. Implementing customer acquisition strategies to outperform competitors.
  11. Sharing knowledge of Harmonic’s Fiber / PON solutions internally and externally.
  12. Understanding and documenting customer needs.
  13. Engaging sales resources and coordinating internal and external teams for initiatives.
  14. Responding to RFIs/RFPs, creating proposals, and conducting ROI/TCO analyses.
  15. Achieving and exceeding sales and profit targets within assigned accounts or territories.
  16. Staying informed on industry news, trends, and competitors.
  17. Representing Harmonic at industry events to promote the brand.
What you will need to succeed :
  • Experience in regional sales management or business development in the Fiber / PON market sectors.
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer strategic needs.
  • Extensive market contacts and technical knowledge in Broadband access solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Experience closing large technology deals.
  • Knowledge of strategic value propositions and customer satisfaction strategies.
  • Skills in pipeline and forecast management, and business case development.
  • Expertise in Broadband Access and Fiber / PON sales.
  • Strong consultative sales skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
