Job summary

Your role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate a team performing daily accounting tasks on several EMEA entities
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS/GAAP)
• Assist in external audits by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and provide financial insights
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff

Main requirements:

• Degree in Economics & Finance, or related fields
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken); other languages are a plus
• Experience in audit firms or multinational companies are a plus
