Job summary

EDAG Italia is seeking a Design Responsible – Body & Closures to lead engineering specifications and coordinate development from concept to production. You will drive performance, quality, cost, and weight targets while coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers.

You will assess design feasibility, lead design reviews, and support validation activities, including simulations and tolerance analyses, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years in automotive product development, especially Body Structures and Closures.
• Experience from concept to production launch with component develpment.
• Strong CAD/PLM expertise and tolerance analysis knowledge.
• Ability to lead design reviews and collaborate with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage engineering specifications for Body & Closures systems.
• Ensure targets for performance, quality, cost, weight, and timing are met.
• Coordinate development from concept through industrialization and service.
• Assess design feasibility and ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Lead design reviews and support technical decisions throughout.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to progress projects.
• Support validation via simulations, testing, and tolerance analysis.
• Provide engineering support during proto builds and production launches.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization.
