Iveco Group in Turin, Italy is seeking a Body Builder Purchasing Commodity Buyer to manage equipment purchases, execute the purchasing strategy, and oversee supplier perimeter management.

The role requires an engineering-economics degree, relevant experience, and excellent communication. You will collaborate with Italy and Ame Sales teams, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing to ensure best value, while supporting tenders and visits to supplier facilities.

Competenze

• Engineering degree in economics or equivalent.
• Experience in the purchasing/commodity role or technical field is preferred.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Body Builder Purchasing Commodity Buyer is responsible of equipment’s purchasing for vehicles, applying the purchasing strategy and regarding the perimeter management of suppliers.

Key Responsibilities include:

• For the assigned commodity, in cooperation with Italy and Ame Sales departments, implements the supply base management strategies that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time and unit cost.
• Selects suppliers using the Iveco Sourcing procedure, negotiate Long Term and Supply Contracts where applicable, and maintain performance to expectations through negotiation of prices and terms to achieve best overall purchase decision.
• Purchase Orders management
• Keeps abreast of market conditions, competitor benchmarking, new technical solutions, and techniques of manufacture for assigned commodities by maintaining close contacts with suppliers.
• Reinforce and develop partnership with Body Builders currently working for Iveco
• Support the tender participation working with Sales department and Commercial Logistic department to solve suppliers’ issues.
• Availability to arrange visit to the suppliers’ facility.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

• Degree in Engineering – Economics
• Previous job experience in the specific role (preferential requirement) or in a technical role
• Flexibility and team-working oriented

• Salary range: Euro 40.000 – 47.000
• Variable payment as per CCSL Contratto Collettivo Specifico di Lavoro Iveco Group
