IVIS Technologies s.r.l. is seeking a Biologist/Biotechnologist to design, execute and optimize experimental studies within R&D. You will plan autonomously, operate laboratory equipment, document procedures and results, and interpret findings to guide new assays and models.

Responsibilities include developing and validating methods, working with cell cultures, imaging, spectroscopy, and data analysis, while collaborating with teams and maintaining documentation in English.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Biology or Biotechnology.
• Experience with cell lines, cell culture techniques, and the setup and execution of in vitro experiments: Ability to independently work on cell cultures, prepare experimental conditions, perform relevant biological assays, and assess parameters such as cell proliferation, morphology and cellular response while ensuring reproducibility.
• Develop and optimization of laboratory protocols and experimental methodologies based on scientific evidence: ability to review relevant scientific literature, evaluate alternative experimental approaches, and translate scientific evidence into practical strategies for the development and improvement of laboratory procedures.
• Experience with optical and fluorescence microscopy, biological imaging and image analysis: Ability to perform observation and image acquisition, process and analyze biological images using appropriate tools and software, and evaluate cellular morphology and experimental outcomes.
• Experience with spectrophotometric measurements and data interpretation: Ability to perform quantitative measurements and critically evaluate spectrophotometric results in relation to experimental objectives.
• Work Approach: Problem-solving orientation, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Results-oriented work organization focused on achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
• Soft Skills and Languages: Excellent teamwork ability, with a proven aptitude for effective collaboration, constructive communication, and integration into work groups. Fluent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• The position will be responsible for the design, execution, and optimization of experimental studies and laboratory protocols within Research & Development activities.
• The role requires operational autonomy, including the independent planning and organization of experimental activities, proficient use of laboratory equipment, and accurate documentation of procedures, results, and protocol modifications.
• The Biologist/Biotechnologist will analyze and interpret experimental results, identify potential experimental issues and propose appropriate solutions, and contribute to the development and validation of new assays, experimental models, and methodologies.
