Job Title: BIOCHEMICAL QC SUPERVISOR

Location: Siena - Italy

Department: QC & Analytical

Philogen S.p.A., a biotech company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and a leader in the development of innovative anti-tumor therapies, is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Biochemical Quality Control Supervisor who will report directly to the Quality Control Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Biochemical laboratory functions and documentation to support the timely disposition of products.
2. Overall quality control disposition of incoming materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
3. Analytical method setup, validation, transfer, and report writing.
4. Ensuring compliance of laboratory procedures with Philogen quality standards and GMP regulations.
5. Supporting day-to-day scheduling activities in collaboration with the QC manager.
6. Facilitating continuous improvement in QC operations and supporting plant goals. Coaching and developing QC colleagues for high performance.
7. Supporting laboratory colleagues to complete tests and investigations timely, maintaining updated knowledge in relevant fields.
8. Promoting technological innovation, scientific understanding, and best practices to design an integrated analytical development strategy.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A strong scientific background.
• People management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GMP.
• Knowledge of chromatographic techniques such as Size Exclusion Chromatography and Cation Exchange by HPLC, as well as common biological tests (e.g., Bioactivity, ELISA).
• Experience with chemical-physical analytical determinations.
• Knowledge of method validation and transfer in compliance with EP/USP standards.
• Good command of English.
