One Mission Society seeks a Bike Repair Technician to foster disciple-making while conducting repairs at Agape Bici. One Mission Society has a vision of making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ and equipping them to be transformational in their spheres of influence. To accomplish this, the Bike Repair Technician, working within a Disciple-Making team, will model disciple-making practices with individuals and churches in their geographical area to foster a disciple-making movement.

The bicycle technician will also repair bicycles at the Agape Bici bicycle shop and teach others how to repair bikes.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with disciple-making processes is a plus.

  • Understanding of spiritual disciplines and scriptural application.
  • Ability to network effectively with partners.
  • Ability to work constructively with team members in disciple-making, showing respect and valuing others.
  • Ability to learn the local language to an intermediate level.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair bicycles independently after training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, scripture reading, fasting, and spiritual disciplines.
  • Engage with your team in prayer, fasting, worship, and accountability.
  • Utilize OMS-approved processes to evangelize non-believers and help others grow as reproducing disciples.
  • Plan and execute disciple-making processes in local churches and networks.
  • Start disciple-making ‘bands,’ train leaders, and identify future local leaders.
  • Prepare churches spiritually for partnership with Church Development to reach their communities.
  • Contribute to developing new strategies and training for disciple-making.
  • Assist in planning conferences and trainings, and collaborate with stewardship teams.
  • Identify and recommend new resources and processes, including translation considerations.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with the Disciple-Making and Church Development teams.
  • Assist in other OMS Country Team ministries as appropriate.
  • Complete bicycle repairs at Agape Bici for walk-in clients and donated bikes for free distribution.
  • Manage purchases and inventory of tools and parts.
  • Willingness to learn the local language to an intermediate level.

This position is support-based, involving raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and expenses.
