A leading company is seeking a BI Analyst fluent in English for a role based in Ispra, Italy. The successful candidate will work closely with a major client’s IT team, leveraging skills in data collection, performance analysis, and various life cycle assessment software to support business requirements and improve database solutions.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in IT.
• Good knowledge in life cycle assessment software (OpenLCA, SimaPro, Gabi).
• Knowledge of EF database architecture and compliance schemes.

We currently have a vacancy for a BI Analyst fluent in English, to offer his / her services as an expert who will be based in Ispra, Italy. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

• Collect business requirements and develop advanced data collection solutions;
• Database performance analysis, with special focus on EF database;
• Gathering business requirements;
• Designing ETL processes;
• Data virtualization and data modelling;
• Design and development of reporting applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Good knowledge in data modelling, in particular related to analysis of life cycle inventory and impact assessment datasets as in use in main Life Cycle Assessment software (e.g. OpenLCA, SimaPro or Gabi);
• Knowledge on the EF (Environmental Footprint) database architecture and EF / ILCD compliance schemes for datasets and data quality;
• Ability to assess database performance analysis, with special focus on database for LCA data;
• Ability to collect business requirements and develop advanced data collection solutions, with special focus on data related to different key sectors (as included PEFCRs existing and under-development);
• Ability to assess quality of EF datasets.
