Job Title: Sales Specialist - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist to join our team at a leading BESS manufacturer. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying opportunities, managing customer relationships, and delivering tailored energy storage solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of BESS technology, market trends, and customer needs, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Main Accountabilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives in the energy storage market. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including utility-scale projects, C&I applications, and microgrid solutions. Meet or exceed sales targets through proactive client engagement and effective pipeline management.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Understand customer needs and present tailored solutions that align with their technical and financial goals. Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Technical and Market Expertise: Stay updated on BESS technology, market trends, and regulatory developments. Work closely with the technical team to design and propose energy storage solutions. Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare detailed sales proposals, including ROI analyses and project timelines. Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms. Collaborate with legal, finance, and engineering teams to finalize agreements.
- Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution. Provide market feedback to enhance the product portfolio. Participate in cross-functional meetings.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track sales metrics, prepare reports, analyze market data, and maintain CRM database.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 3–5 years of sales experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or power systems sectors.
- Strong understanding of BESS technology, including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, and power systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of grid-scale and behind-the-meter energy storage.
- Experience with renewable energy project financing and sales.
- Familiarity with energy policies, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
