Area Sales Manager - Europe
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Education
- Technical background (Engineering preferred)
- Knowledge of regulations, market, and tender processes in the area of competence
- BSc / BA in electronic, electric, or mechanical engineering
- English spoken
- Italian spoken (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
- Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or Country Manager (minimum 5 years)
- Experience managing major national key accounts and relationships at head office level
- Experience presenting proposals to senior management
- Experience working towards defined sales targets
- Experience developing and identifying valuable customers
Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of customer's business using various sources
- Understand key local customers' needs and requirements
- Act as a link between external customers and internal stakeholders (technical office)
- Support participation in local tenders for energy storage projects
- Identify and explore commercial opportunities within the area of competence
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key local customers
- Resolve customer issues and complaints to maintain trust
- Engage with internal colleagues and support product development and innovation
- Prepare strategic plans covering sales, marketing, and pricing activities
- Implement and manage strategic activities to increase value
- Monitor performance and evaluate risks and opportunities to inform activities
- Identify key decision-makers within customer organizations and deepen relationships
- Contribute to sales strategies to maximize revenue and reduce costs
- Manage and update sales activities in CRM
- Prepare reports on progress and forecasts
- Be prepared for frequent business trips and visits to the production plant in Teverola, Italy
